Tim Cohen (Black Fiction, Fresh & Onlys) and Jon Bernson (Ray's Vast Basement) have contributed to each other's records for years, but Window Twins is their first full-on collaboration: a forty minute goldmine of mischievous soundcraft, freestyle songwriting, genre subversion and compounded visions.

Bernson and Cohen are continual Bay Area innovators, who spin synthetic yarns in multiple outfits. As Ray's Vast Basement and Black Fiction, they've toured and tinkered with some of America's most wanted: The Dodos, Thao With The Get Down Stay Down, Why?, Fiery Furnaces, Jolie Holland, Citay, Thee More Shallows, Marissa Nadler, Mountain Goats, Macromantics, Christian Kiefer, Loch Lomond, Tussle, Dosh, Black Swans and many more.

Window Twins are regulars at many stops on the musical map, but always on roads less travelled. Powered by murky loops, one-shot vocals, weathered beats, blown out sound holes and other sonic wonders, their double decker bus is rickety, but bold in it's wanderings. Your guides welcome you as a tourist in your own headphones - one minute you're dancing to white boy gangsta jingles - next minute you're dubbing out to the krautfolk dance revolution.

Cohen and Bernson collect these remarkable moments into living layers and build them into homemade skyscrapers. The Twins deliver magic from both sides of the glass, with one hand on the music box and one on the mixing board. According to their green light manifesto, ideas move quickly to tape. Nothing is lost in translation. What remains is quirky, addictive and strikingly honest. The mixed messages are constant, but with no intention to conceal: their nostalgia for a dark future is real
